Hanging Towels

I tried to make everyone in my family something for Christmas last year, and one thing that I thought would be perfect was hanging kitchen towels. They are perfect for everyone. I love them because Ruby and dogs can't pull them down.
I found a pattern on Pinterest and then went and found all my material at JoAnn Fabrics. It was a fun project. I learned how to make button holes on the sewing machine too! It was not half as scary as I thought it was going to be. I've gotten pretty good at the using the sewing machine; I don't swear at it half as much as I use too 😉

New Momma Vehicle

After 18 months of squeezing myself, Ruby and Josh in my car with the stroller and anything else we needed to bring for our outing we sold my car. It was sad to see it go but so nice to not have to worry when we go anywhere if everything and everyone will fit.
I've had my heart set on a GMC Acadia and we found one with everything that I wanted! It was meant to be. We also sold my car to a very nice family that we have been keeping in touch with. So it was a little easier saying good bye to my car. I get attached to things :/
But I love my new vehicle. It is all leather, has 7 seats and still has trunk room. And it can tow the race car! It's also awesome in the snow, so we will be safe when out in it! ❄️⛄️❄️

Kitty Drama

I am a very proud pet parent. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 lizards. If my husband had it his way he would expand our furry family, but so far I'm doing a good job delaying it. :)
Last week one of my cats had to go in for surgery. Myself and Ruby dropped her off at 7am and picked her up at 5pm. She wasn't even gone 12 hours.
We got back to the vets to pick her up and went over all the home care and medicine that she would be taking for the next 3-4 days and then we got her all packed up and ready to go home. The ride home was quiet, she was tired and still a little out of it. As soon as we walked in the door the other cats went on high alert! Puffing up from head to tail, and hissing like I've never heard before. They did not recognized her at all. She smelled different and they were not ok with that at all. Then they turned on each other. It was pure chaos! Hissing, swatting, chasing and hitting. So needless to say everyone had to be separated.
It took days of getting to know each other again before everyone was ok. They were a handful. I played referee for 3 days. It was no fun. I am so glad that everyone is back to normal and loving each other again. That was stressful haha.

Two Years of Marriage

Two years ago today I married the most amazing man. We have had a very busy two years of marriage but they have been awesome! I really could not ask for a better best friend, father to Ruby and husband. He is the whole package rolled into one perfect man. I look forward to everyday I spend with him and our family. I am truly blessed and am so lucky to have married him. I have won the love lottery!

Hand Prints

I found the most amazing 8x10 frames at Michaels for $3.99 each. One is bright pink and glittery and the other is blue and glittery. I got one for Rubys room and one for Ryans. My plan was to get a professional picture taken of them together for the frame, but I'm not sure when I will have time to do that, and if Ruby would cooperate at this age. So instead one of my friends gave me the idea of doing their hand prints in pink and blue paint. They actually came out really good. We made them on Valentines Day! So I'm thinking that every year around Valentines Day we will make a new one for the frames. It will be really cool to see how they grow over the years :) And a really sweet keepsake.

Happy Valentines Day!

It's a beautiful day in NH today.
We had a low key day. Josh had to work so it was just myself, Ruby and Ryan. We started off with some homework and then some Valentines Day presents. Then FaceTimed with my parents. And some beautiful flowers were delivered from Josh :) Very nice morning.
We went to McDonalds for lunch and got happy meals. And then had a nice visit from Josh's mother.
And now it just started to snow! We are suppose to get another blizzard. Lovely!

So done with snow!!!

I am so done with snow. I am ready to move south!
We have had four or five storms in the last few weeks and not just little storms. There has to be at least three feet of snow on the ground. And that's not even the snow banks! By our front door they are almost over my head, and I'm 5'3". We have run out of room to put it all. I can't shovel anymore, I have to snow blow because I can't lift the shovel that high.
And from what I hear we may get more snow tomorrow and possibly over the weekend.
I could definitely go for a carribean vacation right now! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

FitBit...best present ever

For Christmas I asked my husband for a Fitbit. Christmas morning came and I got a bright pink Fitbit Flex. You wear it as a bracelet and it tracks all your movement throughout the day.
When you get it you make an account online and set up your goals. It tracks your steps, how many miles you've gone, how many active minutes you've done, it can also track your exercise. There are so many cool options like you can keep track of your water intake and sleep patterns!
I absolutely love it! I make sure I reach my goals everyday, even if I have to walk in place while watching some tv before going to bed :) I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise sometimes, but with the Fitbit I can keep track and get moving. You can also follow your friends and cheer them on! It really was the best present :)

Car Seat Review

Today I thought I would write my own review about Rubys car seat. My parents got her a big girl car seat for her 1st birthday. It's a Recaro Performance Ride. It is a great brand; Recaro also makes seats for race cars. It is very safe. It is currently sitting in the living room with all of the covers off of it. (It's getting a bath at the moment, Ruby may have gotten sick in it which prompted me to write this.)
This seat can be put forward facing or rear facing in the car which is nice to have the option to do both. It will also last her until she transititions into a booster seat. It is extremely easy to put in the car and to get Ruby in and out of. It is also very simple to get the covers off of to clean. It comes with a booklet that has a built in spot on the car seat so I always know where it is if I need it. Which comes in handy like today when I was attempting to get it all part to wash. They have step by step instructions to take it apart and put it back together. Fingers crossed it's as easy to put back together as it was to get apart!
I really love it! It has lots of different options to make sure she is comfortable. I have zero complaints about it. It's a little pricey but all the good ones are.

Getting ready for Valentines Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I still have a handful of things left to do.
We plan on having a quiet night in with the kids, take out and a movie. It should be a great time.
Our anniversary is the following week so we don't do much for Valnetines Day. We can go out then. (I need to get ready for that too!)
I am making up little bags for the kids and Josh with just a few little cute things in them. I am not going to do anything over the top this year. Just some candy, toys and family time :)
What are your plans for Valentines Day?
